Arjuna Oakes' debut EP, Turn the Tide, showcases the 18 year old musicians skills as a songwriter, pianist and singer.

The EP opens with the feel good 'kick of a drum', with its Rock influenced 6/8 rhythm and themes of self discovery. The following two tracks, the melancholy 'Hope you Will' and the bluesy 'Troubled Teen' are stripped back with only Arjuna on lead and backing vocals, and on acoustic piano. The EP concludes with the title track, 'Turn the Tide. A complex piece with multiple time signatures, it showcases Arjuna and his bands love of Jazz Fusion and their skill as musicians.

The tracks vary from different genres, including Rock, Blues, Pop and Jazz Fusion.
